Uptown’s exclusive Hotel ZaZa is the destination of choice for A-list celebs visiting Dallas. (Yes, Jessica Simpson, Lance Armstrong and Michael Jordan have all stayed here.)

Fodor’s calls this hip boutique hotel “a luxurious oasis….The ceilings are high, the linens Italian made, the pillows poufy, and the pampering nonstop.” The 150+ guest rooms feature eclectic art, marble baths, flat screen TVs and, well, just about every convenience you can imagine! Prices start at $175 per night.

The seven deluxe suites (which ZaZa refers to as “The Magnificent Seven”) exude over-the-top opulence. Each suite has its own name and theme. For example, “Crouching Tiger” features Asian décor and “Leonardo”, a Renaissance style. Prices range from $800 - $2000 per night.

And more pampering is at your fingertips! The ZaSpa offers a full range of spa treatments and a fitness center.

Chef Stephan Pyles serves up Mediterranean and Asian specialties at the in-house Dragonfly restaurant.

Escape to Europe — in the heart of Uptown Dallas! Hôtel St. Germain is the crème de la crème of boutique hotels. In 1991, proprietor (or should we say propriétaire?) and Louisiana native Claire Heymann transformed the turn-of-the-century Victorian home into a charming Old World-style inn, adding her own town of lavish French antiques and furnishings.

The seven opulent suites feature canopied beds, high ceilings, working fireplaces, and amenities including jacuzzi bathtubs and high-speed Internet hook-ups. Photos of the rooms as well as pricing can be found on Hôtel St. Germain’s official Web site.

The hotel boasts two parlors, two dining rooms, and a New Orleans-style outdoor courtyard. A Champagne Bar is available in the sitting area. The combination of bubbly and foie gras set against an elegant, candlelit parlor backdrop “is capable of making Dallas feel like Paris” — Frommer’s.

The on-site Zagat-rated restaurant features a prix fixe menu ($85). Breakfast offerings include typical French fare: croissants, pastries, and café au lait.
