Located just steps from Uptown in Dallas’ Arts District, the Crow Collection celebrates the culture and art of Japan, China, India, and Southeast Asia.
Real estate mogul Trammell Crow and his wife Margaret began purchasing Asian art in the mid-60’s and, over the past four decades, have amassed a stunning collection of more than 4,000 pieces. Over 750 of these works are displayed in the museum, which opened its doors to the public in 1998.
Artifacts — which range from rare Chinese jade and Japanese scrolls to Buddhist sculptures — date from 3500 B.C. up to the early 1900’s. Just think: in one afternoon you can experience centuries of history!
And an added bonus: it’s free!
Whet your appetite by browsing the collection on The Crow Collection’s official Web site.
